Architecture - Explore the city's architectural treasures including Frank Lloyd Wright's Dana Thomas House and the majestic State Capitol Building. International Route 66 Mother Road Festival and Car Show - Held during the last weekend of every September, the festival features a world-class classic car show, 50's and 60's music, great food, celebrities, workshops and more. Cozy Dog Drive-In - The home of the famous Cozy Dog, a hot dog on a stick now found all across the country at state and county fairs. Stop in before you hop back on Route 66! Beyond Springfield you'll drive on the original brick road laid by hand in 1932, now on the National Register of Historic Places. At the end of your journey, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the Mississippi.
